Maritime Directorate Warns on Sea Surveys in Tuzla and Yalova

The Directorate General of Maritime Affairs under the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure has issued a notice regarding sea surveys conducted in the administrative areas of Tuzla and Yalova Regional Harbour Masters. The statement emphasized that survey activities in these regions must be carried out in compliance with regulations and with necessary safety measures in place.

The Directorate highlighted the importance of conducting surveys by authorized organizations and in accordance with established procedures. It was particularly noted that in areas with heavy vessel traffic such as Tuzla and Yalova, maritime safety should not be compromised during survey operations.

The notice reminded survey companies and relevant parties to follow the instructions of harbour masters and obtain the necessary permits. Additionally, it was requested that utmost care be taken to prevent environmental pollution and avoid harm to the marine ecosystem during survey activities.

Given the intensity of shipbuilding and maintenance activities in the region, this warning is considered binding for all stakeholders in the sector. The Directorate also stated that inspections would be intensified to prevent potential disruptions.
