DEARSAN Shipyard, a leading name in the Turkish defense industry, has successfully completed a critical phase in the project aimed at the Qatari Naval Forces. The first vessel of the Guided Missile Fast Attack Craft project has been launched.

DEARSAN has reached a significant milestone in the project involving the construction of two 50-meter Guided Missile Fast Attack Crafts (FAC) for the Qatari Naval Forces. The first of the vessels, designed and built entirely by DEARSAN, met the water on November 17, 2025, following a successful docking operation.

From Steel Cutting to Launch in One Year

The project stands out for its rapid construction pace and engineering success. The steel cutting ceremony for the first vessel took place on November 22, 2024. Exactly one year later, the vessel was launched, marking the completion of one of the most critical phases of the construction process.

Advanced Combat Capabilities and High Speed

Developed to fully meet the requirements of modern naval warfare, the platform boasts superior features. The 50-meter Fast Attack Crafts are designed with high-speed capabilities and are equipped with advanced sensors and state-of-the-art weapon systems. Once commissioned into the Qatari Naval Forces inventory, these vessels are expected to make a valuable contribution to the country's regional maritime security capacity.

Next Step: Outfitting

Following the successful launch of the first vessel, DEARSAN is preparing to move to the next stage: the outfitting phase. Meanwhile, construction activities for the second Fast Attack Craft in the series are continuing at full speed, in line with the planned schedule.
