Tersan Shipyards

Tersan Shipyards is one of Turkey's major shipbuilding and ship repair companies, operating facilities in Yalova and Tuzla. The company provides newbuilding, ship repair and maintenance, docking, conversion projects and a wide range of technical marine services. Tersan operates within the broader Tersan Group, whose activities also include ship owning and operation, ship agency services and land-based renewable energy investments.

Tersan's shipbuilding activities focus particularly on technologically advanced offshore vessels, advanced fishing vessels, ferries, passenger vessels and other high-value specialized vessels. The company also has significant experience in next-generation vessel technologies, including LNG-powered, hybrid and fully battery-powered electric vessels. According to the company's official information, Tersan has delivered more than 90 newbuild vessels within a relatively short period.

In ship repair, Tersan provides a comprehensive range of services including ship maintenance and repair, docking, mechanical works, steel and pipe works, surface treatment, electrical works, conversion projects, BWTS and scrubber installations. Its Tuzla repair facility also handles vessel docking and repair, conversion projects and mechanical maintenance involving shafts, rudders, propellers, steering gears and main machinery.

The Tuzla repair facility features a 130-meter-long floating dock with an internal width of 22.5 meters and a lifting capacity of 6,500 tons. Tersan provides repair and maintenance services for a wide range of vessel types at its Tuzla facility and states that approximately 50–70 vessels are serviced annually at the Tuzla shipyard. The facility operates with a 24/7 service approach aimed at minimizing vessel turnaround time.

Tersan's infrastructure is supported by extensive production areas, steel prefabrication and block production facilities, mechanical workshops, pipe workshops, paint workshops, panel production lines and high-capacity cranes. Its Yalova and Tuzla facilities cover approximately 320,000 m² in total, with the main shipbuilding activities concentrated at the Yalova facility.
