About Company

Gisan Shipyard’s roots are closely tied to the early development of the Turkish shipbuilding industry. Founded in 1960 by Mehmet Oyar (nicknamed Çanak) as a small workshop in Haliç for repairing modest vessels, the shipyard relocated all operations to Tuzla in 1982.

Since then, Gisan has built over 65 ships and repaired more than 300, boasting the capacity to construct commercial cargo vessels, dry bulk carriers, chemical and product tankers, dredgers, tugs, and Ro-Ro passenger ships up to 26,000 DWT. The shipyard also features a dock capable of repairing all types of vessels up to 8,000 tons of lifting capacity.
